Nisswa Post 627 will be the host of the 2021 100th 6th District Convention June 4-5.  The first 200 attendees will receive a souvenir luggage tag.  Please start collecting the names of your Gold Star family members and invite them to the convention.  Anyone who registers as a Gold Star family member will be given a complimentary registration and lunch.  Encourage, please encourage your newer members to attend this historic convention to learn more about the American Legion and the 6th District.

Registration forms ($15) will be put into the District newsletter later containing the convention schedule and  the properties we will be using along with their room rates.  Please make your reservations prior to April 1, 2021.  It is very difficult to get properties here because of fishing, water activities and other fun things occurring within our community.  They don’t need us anymore like they used to.  The post will provide convention books to those who have pre-registered but will have convention schedules for the remainder of the delegates.  There will be no official open houses unless you want to hold something in your room.

The American Legion will meet at the post and the Auxiliary will meet in the Community Center along with our District Memorial service.  The Gold Star luncheon will be soup and sandwich at the post for $10.  Shuttle service will be provided to the two local hotels on Friday and to and from the community service for the luncheon on Saturday.
