Greetings and salutations!
Spring is quickly approaching. Soon there will be warmer temperatures and the snow will be gone. Trees will sprout new leaves and our world will turn green again. What many of us are looking forward to is the upcoming riding season. Safety courses will be available. Make sure you brush up on your skills. Refresh yourself with hand signals for group rides. There is also maintenance to be done to ensure that your bike is safe and ready to ride. Check your riding gear for serviceability. I share all of this to help jog our memories and get our mindset right. Check on your buddies. If you are able to offer help for those in need, please do. Whether it be maintenance information or just a friendly ear. We take care of each other.
With riding season comes organized rides and fundraisers. The Legion Riders have two funds that we raise money for. Fund 84 is the Legacy Scholarship fund. And Fund 85 is the Veterans Assistance fund.
The Legacy Scholarship Run will be July 27th thru the 30th. The kickoff party will be on July 26th at the North Branch American Legion. Registration will be $30 no matter how long you participate. Overnight stays will be as follows.

Saturday July 29th – Moorhead, MN *

The Second Annual Fund 85 Run will be on Saturday August 19th. The host for this years run is The Forest Lake American Legion. All donations for this run will go to Fund 85.
Poppy funds can be used for donations to either run. There will be a large group meeting in April with more information.
I look forward to riding this season. Renewing old friendships and making new friends. Raising money for worthy causes using our passion. Continue to promote the American Legion and the American Legion Riders.
Stay safe and enjoy the Spring!
