Happy New Year 2024! The Girls State Committee has been hard at work, planning and ironing out the details for the 2024 session to be held this summer. As of this newsletter deadline date, we do not have the 2024 forms yet. The forms may arrive in January or February. Please refer to the Unit mailings each month as well as this newsletter.
Something you can do right now to assist with making the 2024 session successful is to buy gift cards throughout the SCRIP program. There are over 500 businesses in the SCRIP program. When you purchase a gift card, the business will pay a percentage of their gift card amount to Department of MN Girls State program. The percentage may vary with each business. The Department Girls State Committee Chairman, Linda Kelly, had a very informative article in the November Unit Mailing. Please refer to Linda’s article for the SCRIP details and how you can purchase these gift cards. Gift cards will also be available at all Membership rallies this year.
ALA Minnesota Girls State will be June 9-15, 2024 at Bethel University.
